Successful NQA audit
This week NQA conducted a surveillance audit against our ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environment and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety certifications
The audit covered various requirements of said standards including Organisational Context, Leadership, Planning – Risks & Opportunities, Aspect & Impacts, Hazard Identification, Company Objectives, Legal Requirements, Management of Change, Support – Resources, Monitoring and Measuring, Competence, Supplier Selection, Performance Evaluation and Improvement – Incidents. In addition, a site visit was also undertaken on the Baggage Handling extension project currently being carried out at London Southend Airport by our Civils team led by Roy Hill, Senior Project Manager. The audit went well with no major or minor nonconformities raised. We are pleased to report that we have retained our certifications to all three standards.

The Auditors were very complimentary throughout the visit and the following comments were included in their report:
‘First and foremost I would like to personally thank Jess and Chloe for facilitating the visit and for travelling from Carlisle to Southend to be with the audit team at this time of Covis-19 virus restrictions.’
Management Review
‘Once again a very comprehensive management review process with detailed report, one of the most effective reviews that I see as an assessor across a variety of sectors.’
Hazard Identification
‘Hazard identification and the implementation of effective operational controls is established. High level risks and opportunities identified. Evidence of effective controls were sampled throughout the audit.’
Legal Requirements
‘The identification of health and safety legislation and other requirements relative to the business is established. A process to undertake formal evaluation of compliance through internal and site audits and a formal (three monthly) compliance meeting is undertaken by the business.’
Site Visit
‘The site itself is very well set out, housekeeping is to a very high standard.’
Conclusion
‘I am very pleased to be able to recommend continued certification to all three standards. I would also like to thank site staff for their time and input into the process and for playing their part in a very well managed and tidy site.’
Finally, thank you to all who participated during the audit, particularly Jessica Wills, Chloe Robinson, Roy Hill, Andrew Sedgwick and Andrew Mallinson and to those who helped ensure our documentation and systems were up to date but were not directly involved.
Well done team!
